EARLY FOUNDATIONS
Learning by doing.
I started framing houses and doing finish carpentry at nine, working with my grandfather during the summers. He built custom homes, restaurants and small hotels.
2004 · SAN ANTONIO
Learning the business as well as the roof.
I printed 200 contracts for a gutter contractor. About ten days later, he returned with 156 signed contracts and $400,000 in deposit checks. That opportunity brought me into roofing.
2005 · HURRICANE RESPONSE
Work that demanded coordination.
After Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, I was part of a 54-truck convoy to Keesler Air Force Base, working in the FEMA and Army Corps response environment.
SINCE THEN
Nearly three decades of perspective.
I’ve worked on more than 15,000 insurance claims during my career. My project experience spans 14 states. That work has taught me the value of careful documentation, clear expectations and crews who understand the work.
